Kadang Mendengarkan adalah Hal yang Sangat Berharga

Bukan hari ini, sudah beberapa hari kemarin tapi malam ini tiba-tiba aku teringat lagi hal yang ternyata tanpa kusadari begitu berharga. Spontan terlintas bahwa manusia memang benar-benar tidak bisa hidup tanpa orang lain dan bantuan sekecil apapun entah itu materiil dan moral adalah sangat berharga bagi yang membutuhkan, walaupun sekedar kata-kata kecil singkat yang keluar dari mulut yang mungkin tidak perlu berfikir dalam untuk mengatakannya.

Waktu itu aku sedang pergi, ya…..lumayan jauh lah kira-kira membutuhkan waktu perjalanan sekitar satu jam dari domisiliku dan temanku itu, katakanlah namanya Abi. Ketika aku sedang berdiam diri tiba-tiba Abi mengirimkan sms menanyakan keberadaanku, aku bilang saja baru pergi dan dia bilang, “boleh gak aku kesitu?”. “Iya kesini aja”, aku bilang.

Selang kira-kira dua jam tiba-tiba si Abi muncul dengan sepeda motornya dan menghampiriku, kaget juga kok tiba-tiba dia benar-benar datang sendirian, aku pikir bercanda karena biasanya pun dia begitu. Setelah Abi turun dari motornya dia langsung duduk didekatku dengan tampang yang tidak seperti biasanya. Aku hanya tersenyum membiarkan Abi tenang sejenak dan sengaja tidak menyapa karena aku tahu ada yang tidak enak dihatinya.

Setelah beberapa menit aku dan Abi terdiam, Abi yang mulai obrolan terlebih dulu. Benar ternyata apa yang aku kira, Abi menceritakan panjang lebar tentang masalah yang dia rasakan tanpa aku tanya ada apa sebernarnya sampai-sampai dia mau jauh-jauh datang menemuiku disini.

Abi bingung dengan keadaannya, yang dia pikir dia berada dalam posisi serba salah dalam lingkungan teman-teman kesehariaannya. Aku sendiri bingung kenapa aku yang dia cari, bukan teman yang lain yang mungkin lebih dekat dengan rumahnya daripada datang menyusulku disini. Aku jadi gak enak hati kalau dia berfikir berlebihan tentang aku, padahal secara akademik dia jauh diatasku, teman-temannya juga aku pikir lebih banyak.

Gak kerasa dia curhat sudah hampir satu jam, tanpa minum, hanya sambil merokok. Akhirnya dia minta pendapatku, bagaimana sebaiknya ?

Aku juga jadi bingung mau ngomong apa, aku hanya bilang,”Sebaiknya kamu renungin dulu aja, yang tahu sebenarnya mana yang penting buat kamu, buat masa depanmu itu kamu sendiri, orang lain hanya sebagai cermin saja, itupun gak semua cermin datar, ada yang cembung, cekung, kadang ada pula yang buram dan kotor. terlepas mereka akan suka atau tidak itu hak mereka dan kodrat manusia memang harus ada pro dan kontra, kalau memang kita harus meninggalkan sesuatu demi kebaikan bersama, ya…..lakuin aja, gak semua hal baik itu manis dirasa. Kalau kita terpaksa berseberangan dengan mereka dan kita tahu itulah yang memang harus dilakukan, memang tidak enak sekali, mungkin mereka akan mengucilkan kita, kita kehilangan orang yang tadinya baik dengan kita, dan mereka selalu memandang sisi negatif kita, gak apa-apa, yang penting kita positif thinking dulu aja dan jangan dendam.”

Abi diam dan terus menatapku, aku jadi tambah bingung dan merasa gak layak ngomong kayak tadi. Tapi reaksinya yang membuatku heran, agak lega pula, dia lumayan tersenyum daripada ketika dia datang tadi. Gak lama kemudian Abi langsung pamit, singkat saja yang dia katakan, “baiklah……, aku pulang dulu ya.” Aku ajak ke warung untuk sekedar minum-minum pun dia gak mau. “ya sudahlah…hati-hati ya…..” aku bilang.

Dari sini aku berfikir, begitu pentingnya orang yang mau mendengarkan, sekedar mendengarkan. Dan sekarang semakin jarang orang yang mau mendengarkan, semua ingin didengar, semua ingin bicara. Tentang dirinya sendiri.

Menyentuh Sekali

Menyentuh sekali, pagi - pagi baru saja sampai kantor dan belum sempat pake dasi sudah kedatangan tamu bapak - bapak bersama keponakannya yang jauh - jauh datang dari Sumatra untuk menyambangi anaknya yang sakit. Beliau datang kemari untuk memintakan SK aktif kuliah anaknya yang sedang sakit di rumah sakit.

Beliau tampak lemas dengan sedikit energi, tuturnya lembut sekali, mukanya tampak kosong terbebani birokrasi yang berbelit - belit , tapi demi anaknya beliau tetap mengupayakan untuk menyanggupi si birokrasi itu, walaupun sebenarnya masalah yang lain menunggu untuk diselesaikan. Dengan motivasi kesembuhan anaknya beliau tetap menjaga keteraturan itu.

Aku tak bisa membayangkan ketika aku sakit siapa saja yang repot, harus meninggalkan pekerjaan yang mestinya dikerjakan, harus meninggalkan tanggung jawab hanya untuk mengurusiku, dan menghadapi pikiran skeptis orang yang menganggap lebih mementingkan seorang aku daripada orang lain.

Dan mengingatkanku akan tanggung jawab yang mesti aku emban esok hari. Atas keluargaku.

Setitik terang dalam setiap kesulitan (Rahasia Hidup Bahagia)

Suatu kala, ada seorang yang cukup terkenal akan kepintarannya dalam membantu orang mengatasi masalah. Meskipun usianya sudah cukup tua, namun kebijaksanaannya luar biasa luas. Karena itulah, orang berbondong-bondong ingin bertemu dengannya dengan harapan agar masalah mereka bisa diselesaikan.

Setiap hari, ada saja orang yang datang bertemu dengannya. Mereka sangat mengharapkan jawaban yang kiranya dapat menjadi solusi bagi permasalahan yang sedang mereka hadapi. Dan hebatnya, rata-rata dari mereka puas akan jawaban yang diberikan. Tidak heran, kepiawaiannya dalam mengatasi masalah membuat namanya begitu tersohor.

Suatu hari, seorang pemuda mendengar pembicaraan orang-orang di sekitar yang bercerita tentang orang tua tersebut. Ia pun menjadi penasaran dan berusaha mencari tahu keberadaannya. Ia juga ingin bertemu dengannya. Ada sesuatu yang sedang mengganjal di hatinya dan ia masih belum mendapatkan jawaban. Ia berharap mendapatkan jawaban dari orang tua tersebut.

Setelah berhasil mendapatkan lokasi tempat tinggal orang tua itu, ia bergegas menuju ke sana. Tempat tinggal orang tua tersebut dari luar terlihat sangat luas bagai istana.

Setelah masuk ke dalam rumah, ia akhirnya bertemu dengan orang tua bijaksana tersebut. Ia bertanya, "Apakah Anda orang yang terkenal yang sering dibicarakan orang-orang mampu mengatasi berbagai masalah?"

Orang tua itu menjawab dengan rendah hati, "Ah, orang-orang terlalu melebih-lebihkan. Saya hanya berusaha sebaik mungkin membantu mereka. Ada yang bisa saya bantu, anak muda? Kalau memang memungkinkan, saya akan membantu kamu dengan senang hati."

"Mudah saja. Saya hanya ingin tahu apa rahasia hidup bahagia? Sampai saat ini saya masih belum menemukan jawabannya. Jika Anda mampu memberi jawaban yang memuaskan, saya akan memberi hormat dan dua jempol kepada Anda serta menceritakan kehebatan Anda pada orang-orang," balas pemuda itu.

Orang tua itu berkata, "Saya tidak bisa menjawab sekarang."

Pemuda itu merengut, berkata, "Kenapa? Apakah Anda juga tidak tahu jawabannya?"

"Bukan tidak bisa. Saya ada sedikit urusan mendadak," balas orang tua itu. Setelah berpikir sebentar, ia melanjutkan, "Begini saja, kamu tunggu sebentar."

Orang tua itu pergi ke ruangan lain mengambil sesuatu. Sesaat kemudian, ia kembali dengan membawa sebuah sendok dan sebotol tinta. Sambil menuangkan tinta ke sendok, ia berkata, "Saya ada urusan yang harus diselesaikan. Tidak lama, hanya setengah jam. Selagi menunggu, saya ingin kamu berjalan dan melihat-lihat keindahan rumah dan halaman di luar sambil membawa sendok ini."

"Untuk apa?" tanya pemuda itu dengan penasaran.

"Sudah, jangan banyak tanya. Lakukan saja. Saya akan kembali setengah jam lagi," kata orang tua itu seraya menyodorkan sendok pada pemuda itu dan kemudian pergi.

Setengah jam berlalu, dan orang tua bijak itu pun kembali dan segera menemui pemuda itu.

Ia bertanya pada pemuda itu, "Kamu sudah mengelilingi seisi rumah dan halaman di luar?"

Pemuda itu menganggukkan kepala sambil berkata, "Sudah."

Orang tua itu lanjut bertanya, "Kalau begitu, apa yang sudah kamu lihat? Tolong beritahu saya."

Pemuda itu hanya diam tanpa menjawab.

Orang tua itu bertanya lagi, "Kenapa diam? Rumah dan halaman begitu luas, banyak sekali yang bisa dilihat. Apa saja yang telah kamu lihat?"

Pemuda itu mulai bicara, "Saya tidak melihat apa pun. Kalau pun melihat, itu hanya sekilas saja. Saya tidak bisa ingat sepenuhnya."

"Mengapa bisa begitu?" tanya orang tua itu.

Sang pemuda dengan malu menjawab, "Karena saat berjalan, saya terus memperhatikan sendok ini, takut tinta jatuh dan mengotori rumah Anda."

Dengan senyum, orang tua bijak itu berseru, "Nah, itulah jawaban yang kamu cari-cari selama ini. Kamu telah mengorbankan keindahan rumah yang seharusnya bisa kamu nikmati hanya untuk memerhatikan sendok berisi tinta ini. Karena terus mengkhawatirkan tinta ini, kamu tidak sempat melihat rumah dan halaman yang begitu indah. Rumah ini ada begitu banyak patung, ukiran, lukisan, hiasan dan ornamen yang cantik. Begitu juga dengan halaman rumah yang berhiaskan bunga-bunga warna-warni yang bermekaran. Kamu tidak bisa melihatnya karena kamu terus melihat sendok ini."

Ia melanjutkan, "Jika kamu selalu melihat kejelekan di balik tumpukan keindahan, hidup kamu akan dipenuhi penderitaan dan kesengsaraan. Sebaliknya, jika kamu selalu mampu melihat keindahan di balik tumpukan kejelekan, maka hidup kamu akan lebih indah. Itulah rahasia dari kebahagiaan. Apakah sekarang sudah mengerti, anak muda?"

Pemuda itu benar-benar salut atas kebijaksaan dari orang tua itu. Ia sungguh puas dengan jawabannya. Akhirnya ia menemukan jawaban yang selama ini ia cari. Sebelum pergi, ia menepati janjinya dengan memberi hormat dan dua jempol kepada orang tua tersebut.

Sobat Motivasi...Dalam hidup ini, alangkah baiknya kita tidak menjerumuskan diri kita ke dalam keterpurukan. Selalu ada hal positif yang bisa kita ambil. Jangan mengorbankan keindahan hidup hanya untuk melihat sisi jeleknya. Jadilah orang yang senantiasa melihat setitik terang di dalam gelap.

Michelle Yeoh - Tomorrow Never Dies

Kadang-kadang kecelakaan mengakhiri keinginan yang begitu didamba sejak lama, lalu menyisakan pilihan yang sulit: menekuni apa yang ada, kendati tak begitu disukai. Pengalaman Michelle Yeoh salah satunya.

Nama asli perempuan yang lahir di Ipoh, Malaysia ini adalah Yeoh Choo Kheng. Pada masa kecil ia bercita-cita menjadi balerina. Sayangnya ketika usianya menginjak 16 tahun ia mengalami kecelakaan. Kecelakaan itu membuat karier menarinya berantakan, karena ia mengalami cedera tulang belakang yang serius. Setelah itu ia harus mengubur dalam-dalam cita-citanya dan menekuni studinya di bidang hukum.

Sambil belajar, pada tahun 1983 ia mencoba ikut pemilihan Miss Malaysia. Ternyata ia terpilih menjadi pemenang. Keberhasilan itu tak berhenti sampai di sana. Ia kemudian diajak membintangi film layar lebar. Bahkan bintang film Hong Kong yang terkenal, Jackie Chan, tertarik mengajaknya bermain film bersama.

Michelle Yeoh telah bermain di beberapa film besar produksi Hong Kong. Bahkan ia juga ikut terlibat dalam film Hollywood besar seperti serial James Bond (Tomorrow Never Dies) bersama Pierce Brosnan. Dan Michelle adalah salah satu bintang Asia yang diperhitungkan di percaturan film dunia, termasuk Hollywood.

Mungkin tanpa kecelakaan itu ia tak punya kesempatan untuk mengeksplorasi bakat lainnya di dunia akting. Ternyata ketika satu bakat terhambat ia bisa merajut bakat lain yang lebih baik. Selalu ada kesempatan untuk orang yang mau maju. "Tomorrow never dies," katanya, menyebut salah satu judul filmnya sekaligus slogan motivasi dirinya. Luar biasa!

TAHUKAH ANDA ?

Seorang Ibu terduduk di kursi rodanya suatu sore di tepi danau, ditemani Anaknya yang sudah mapan dan berkeluarga.

Si ibu bertanya " itu burung apa yg berdiri disana ??"
"Bangau mama" anaknya menjawab dengan sopan.
Tak lama kemudian si mama bertanya lagi..
"Itu yang warna putih burung apa?"
sdikit kesal anaknya menjawab " ya bangau mama?..."

Kemudian ibunya kembali bertanya
" Lantas itu burung apa ?" Ibunya menunjuk burung bangau tadi yg sedang terbang...

Dengan nada kesal si anak menjawab "ya bangau mama. kan sama saja!..emanknya mama gak liat dia terbang!"

Air menetes dari sudut mata si mama sambil berkata pelan.."Dulu 26 tahun yang lalu aku memangku mu dan menjawab pertanyaan yg sama untuk mu sebanyak 10 kali,..sedang saat ini aku hanya bertanya 3 kali, tapi kau membentak ku 2 kali.."

Si anak terdiam...dan memeluk mamanya.

Pernahkah kita memikirkan apa yg telah diajarkan oleh seorang mama kepada kita? Sayangilah Mama/Ibu-mu dgn sungguh2 krn sorga berada di telapak kaki Ibu.

Mohon ampunan jika kamu pernah menyakiti hati Ibumu.
Dan teruskan kepada Orang2 yg perlu membaca renungan ini.

Tapi bayangannya dia tetap di samping kita dan berkata : "anakku jangan menangis, mama/papa masih di sini. Mama/papa masih sayang kamu.":(

Imajinasi bukan fanatasi. Imajinasi adalah seni atau sains tentang gambaran yang diproyeksikan. Wujud gambaran tentang diri sendiri yang sangat kuat Anda bayangkan adalah sangat penting karena gambaran itu bisa saja menjadi kenyataan.

Pikiran adalah sumber dari perbuatan. Jika Anda memprakondisikan otak Anda dengan pikiran - pikiran tentang sukses, maka yang akan mengalir adalah perbuatan - perbuatan menuju sukses. Namun, catat bahwa bumbu terpenting dari hal ini adalah bantuan dari Tuhan. Bagian terpenting dari rahasia menggunakan prinsip - prinsip berpikir dalam semua bentuk adalah pertolongan Tuhan.

Di kota kecil Carmel di Negara bagian New York, ada anak laki – laki bernama Jim Mackey. Saat itu Jim berusia 14 tahun, dalam masa peralihan dari bocah yang manis menjadi laki – laki sejati, dan salah satu “tought minded” sejati di dunia ini. Ia sepertinya dilahirkan secara alami untuk menjadi atlet, dan termasuk salah satu dari sejumlah kecil atlet terbaik. Namun, beberapa saat setelah mmemasuki sekolah menengah, ia mulai merasakan lumpuh kaki. Dengan cepat gejalanya menunjukkan ia terkena kanker. Operasi harus dilakukan untuk menyelamatkan nyawanya, dan kaki Jim harus diamputasi. Setelah saat keluar dari rumah sakit, ia langsung dating ke sekolahnya dengan mengenakan kurk (alat bantu jalan) yang bertumpu di ketiak lengannya sebagai pengganti kaki yang masih di perban. Tanpa menunjukkan rasa sedih karena baru saja kehilangan kaki, remaja yang dulu bintang olahraga ini dengan riang hati berkisah tentang bagaimana ia akan mengenakan kaki palsu. “kemudian, saya akan bisa mengenakan kaos kaki dengan penjepit jempol. Kalian semua tidak akan bisa seperti itu , kan ?”

Saat musim keompetisi football dimulai, Jim mendatangi coach dan bertanya apakah ia boleh menjadi salah satu menajer tim. Untuk mewujudkan keinginan itu, berminggu – minggu Jim mendatangi tempat latihan, membawakan perlengkapan latihan, dan menginfus timnya dengan rasa percaya diri. Kehadirannya memberikan suasana positif di dalam tim. Hingga suatu sore ia tidak dating ke tempat latihan. Coach mencemaskan ketidakhadiran jim. Lalu, coach mendatangi rumah Jim dan mendapat kabar Jim berada di rumah sakit untuk mendapat pemeriksaan lain. Saat di rumah sakit, ia jadi tahu Jim juga menderita kanker paru stadium parah. Kata dokter, “Kondisi jim sulit dipulihkan, dan ia bisa saja meninggal dalam tempo enam bulan sejak sekarang.”

Orangtua Jim memutuskan untuk tidak bercerita tentang “vonis mati” yang sudah dijatuhkan dokter. Mereka berharap Jim tetap menjalani dan menikmati kehidupan senormal mungkin untuk hari – hari terakhirnya. Maka, Jim dibolehkan kembali berlatih di lapangan masih dengan antusiasme tinggi yang ia berikan pada teman – temannya. Dengandorongan inspirasi dari Jim, timnya bisa menjalani musim kompetisi tannpa terkalahkan. Untuk merayakannya, mereka sepakat menggelar acara makan bersama danJim menerima plakat football yang ditandatangani semua anggota tim. Sayangnya, acara makan bersama in tidak sesukses seperti yang dibayangkan. Jim tidak hadir. Ia terlalu lemah untuk hadir.

Beberapa pecan kemudian, Jim muncul lagi. Kali ini dalamlpertandingan bola basket. Wajahnya pucat, sangat pucat, dan badannya lemah. Meski demikian, ia tetap tampil seperti halnya jim yang ceria, penuh senyum, dan tawa, memancing gurauan dan memberikan inspirasi pada teman – teman lainnya. Setelah usainya pertandingan, ia dating ke ruang coach. Kebetulan, kala itu seluruh anggota tim football sedang ada disana. Coach denganlembut menngusap kepala Jim sambil bertanya mengapa tidak hadir dalam acara makan bersama. “ Saya sedang diet, coach,” jawab jim, dengan sedikit menyeringai utuk menyembunyikan rasa sakitnya. Lalu, salah seorang anggota tim menyerahkan plakat juara kompetisi football. “kami bisa memenangi ini karena kau, Jim,” kata pemain itu. Jim mengucapkan terima kasih dengan suara lirih dan setitik air mata meleleh ke pipinya. Lalu, mereka ramai membicarakan rencana – rencana musim berikutnya. Ketika pembicaraan usai dan sudah waktuya bubar, Jim pun bubar. Saat semua pemain sudah keluar, Jim d depan pintu berbalik arah. Sambil menatap coach, Jim berpamitan dengan ucapan lemah, tatapi mantap , “Selamat tinggal, coach.”
“Maksunya, sampai jumpa lagi, Jim ?” si coach balik bertanya.
Mata Jim kembali menyala, dan bibirnya berkulum senyum, “jangan khawatir, coach. Saya sudah siap.” Setelah itu, Jim menghilang.
Dua hari kemudian Jim meninggal.

Meski orangtuanya bungkam, dan coach juga tutup mulut, Jim sudah tahu lama atas vonis mati yang diucapkan dokter. Bahkansebelum masuk rumah sakit pun ia sudah merasa umurnnya bakal pendek. Namun, ia bersiap menghadapi semua itu.

Ia memang type orang yang berpikiran positif dan tough minded. Ia menjadikan fakta tragis dan menyedihkan yang menimpa dirinya itu menjadi pengalaman yang kreati dan menyenangkan banyak orang.


Mungkin banyak orang berargumen Jim tetap saja mati dan karakternya sebagai pemikir positif tidak banyak berarti. Aragumentasi demikian tidak benar. Jim tahu benar bagaimana meraih keimanan dan bagaimana menciptakan suatu yang lebih hangat, menyenangkan dan membangkitkan semangat dari situasi – situasi yang lebih buruk. Ia tidakseperti burung onta yang mengubur kepalanya di pasi saat ada ancaman. Ia tahu betul sesuatu yang menggerogoti tubuhnya, tetapi ia mmemilih untuk tidak mau dikalahkan begitu saja. Sejatinya, Jim memang tidak pernah dikalahkan. Jim memanfaatkan kehidupannya sependek apapun, dan menggunakannya untuk membangkitkan keyakinan, keberanian, kebahagiaan secara permanen pada orang – orang yang dikenalnya. Nah, cobalah Anda pikir baik - baik, bisakah Anda menyatakan orang berhasil melakukan seperti itu sebagai orang yang gagal dan kalah ? itu tentang keteguhan pikiran. Itu tentang kesadaran untuk tidak mau dikalahkan. Itu yang akan menentukan kehidupan Anda.

The founder of UFO-IC: UFO Is Not Trust, I See With My Own Eyes

Jakarta-Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) is not a matter of trust. Because trust is about things that have never seen, like faith in religion. But I never saw the UFO.

As stated by Michael Gumelar, chairman and founder of the UFO Community Indonesia (Indonesian Community UFO / UFO-IC), while talking to AFP on Tuesday (25/01/2011).

Michael told, the first time he saw a UFO in the sky is the 1989 Surabaya. At that time he was passing at a university with riding a motorcycle.

We've heard that 'big nation is the respect for their heroes is true, but in the cyber world nation we need to also have a belief that big nation is conscious of his greatness'.

We do know that Blackberry, Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo, Google is the big name on the Internet but we need more to know again that these sites give attention to our society because they clearly benefited from Indonesia and the user can make their businesses prosper. So if our society did churn out (move) to another service that would be a shake up their business.

Unfortunately our nation's peoples-though having such power, have access to all information through search engines and so on, many never realize the greatness of our nation and do not find out that so much of our nation in cyberspace.

And if this is asked of every individual may be the most commonly spoken is a tone that is less inclined to blame their government of giving facilities, the rules are rigid. Rarely are they of introspection to see ourselves as a user.

Imagine with such a large user community is we should be king and be pampered. In terms of our numbers are still below China but rather with the independence of China, both in the world of ICT and virtual worlds so the people they are no longer 'beautiful object' for international service providers. Great attention is on countries like Indonesia and India (which is great in the population but yet strong and independent as a nation).
